Our team is dedicated to excellence, and we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Records, Lab, and Sterilization Technician to join our small family practice.
Job Description:
As a Records, Lab, and Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our orthodontic practice. You will be responsible for managing patient records, assisting with makings of orthodontic retainers and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sterilization. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key in supporting our clinical team and enhancing patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Records Management:
Maintain and organize patient records with accuracy and confidentiality. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for the clinical team.
Lab Assistance:
Assist with fabricating retainers and models as required. Perform routine lab tasks and ensure the lab area is well-organized and efficient.
Sterilization:
Follow stringent sterilization protocols to ensure all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and sterilized. Maintain a sterile environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels for lab supplies and sterilization materials. Place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock.
turn over clinical chairs:
help keep the flow moving in the bay area by helping assistants turn over chairs and bring patients back to the clinic
Patient Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service and support to patients during their visits, ensuring a positive experience.
Qualifications:
THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in dental or orthodontic assisting is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow procedures and protocols for sterilization and infection control. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
