Job Description

Embark on an impactful role focused on the critical responsibility of maintaining surgical equipment and ensuring patient safety. This full-time contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No regularly scheduled overtime (subject to change based on unit needs) Call requirements: 6 days per month, including 1 weekend per month
Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is required Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Previous experience in sterile processing or a related field preferred Strong understanding of infection control practices Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards Ability to work collaboratively within a surgical team
Key Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment for use in 4 inpatient ORs, 5 outpatient ORs, and 2 outpatient endoscopy rooms Maintain an organized inventory of sterile supplies Uphold strict infection prevention protocols Respond to rotating call shifts as scheduled Support staff in the safe and timely preparation of necessary instruments for various procedures This opportunity allows you to contribute meaningfully to patient care by ensuring every procedure is performed safely and efficiently.
