  • 7:30 AM Position Overview A leading short-term acute care facility in Portland, Oregon is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a night shift contract assignment.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong sterile processing experience in a fast-paced hospital setting and hands-on knowledge of instrumentation handling, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention protocols. Experience with SPM systems and robotic instrumentation is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments and medical equipment Inspect instrument trays and equipment for cleanliness, functionality, and accuracy Prepare, package, and distribute sterile supplies for surgical and procedural departments Operate sterilization equipment in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards Maintain accurate documentation within Epic and departmental tracking systems Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols Collaborate closely with surgical services and clinical teams to support procedural workflows Qualifications Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician required Prior travel assignment experience required Strong understanding of sterile processing workflows and infection prevention standards Experience working in acute care or hospital environments preferred Familiarity with Epic documentation systems and SPM tracking systems preferred For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
