Duties Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following strict aseptic techniques and hospital protocols Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring all tools meet safety standards before use Manage inventory levels by tracking supplies, ordering replacements, and organizing sterilized items for easy access Document sterilization cycles, maintenance activities, and equipment status accurately in hospital records Prepare surgical trays and instrument sets according to specific procedural requirements Adhere to medical terminology standards and anatomy knowledge to identify instruments and equipment correctly Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure all necessary tools are available, sterile, and ready for procedures Qualifications Prior experience in sterile processing or medical equipment sterilization required Strong understanding of sterile processing procedures and aseptic techniques Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately identify surgical instruments and equipment Familiarity with medical terminology used in hospital settings Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and inventory management tasks Embark on a rewarding career that makes a real difference in patient outcomes!
