Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician II prepares and distributes supplies and equipment ready for use in all patient care areas, as well as for the Operating Rooms. Based on pre-determined inventory (PAR) levels, and surgical cases, these technicians count and replenish processed supplies for each location. Reusable instruments and items are collected, decontaminated, repackaged, sterilized and returned to storage or the next point of use. Patient care equipment is collected, cleaned and stored between patient applications. Responsible for tracking some rental equipment. Once oriented the SP Tech II will also assist in training newly hired technicians.Qualifications:
Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST) through IAHCSM or other recognized or accredited program or ability to obtain certification within 9 months. Six months experience in Healthcare Sterile Processing strongly preferred.Benefits:
