Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques, medical documentation, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Duties
- Assist in the sterilization of dental instruments and equipment following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to sterilization processes.
- Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Participate in regular training sessions on infection control practices and updates in sterilization techniques.
- Support pediatric dental procedures by preparing necessary tools while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Skills
- Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with medical documentation processes, including HIPAA compliance.
- Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of WINOMS Carestream management systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members.
