Qualifications & Experience:
Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT or CRCST required) Proven experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in a healthcare or hospital setting Solid knowledge of sterilization techniques, decontamination processes, and infection prevention Familiarity with surgical instruments and medical terminology Strong attention to detail and ability to follow rigorous protocols Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established procedures Inspect instruments for damage and ensure proper functionality Operate autoclaves and other sterilizing equipment safely and efficiently Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, inventory, and equipment maintenance Adhere strictly to infection control policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols Collaborate with nursing staff and surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies Troubleshoot and report equipment issues promptly to supervisors Support the ongoing cleanliness and organization of the sterile processing area
