This position is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instrumentation and medical equipment. The Sterile Processing Technician performs sterilization processes, including autoclave, GI scope reprocessing, and other approved methods; verifies quality assurance testing; maintains accurate documentation; and supports inventory management and process improvement initiatives. This role collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and surgical technologists while maintaining high standards for infection prevention, safety, and patient care. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, organized, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and committed to ensuring surgical teams have the right instruments ready when patients need them.

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday Five 8-hour shift: 9:00AM-5:30PM

NO WEEKENDS. NO ON-CALL. NO HOLIDAYS. QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, completion of a Surgical Technologist on-the-job training program, or current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification. At least one year of experience in an Operating Room, Sterile Processing Department, or related surgical environment. BLS certification (or obtained upon hire).
