Certified Surgical Technician - Sterile Processing Sterile Processing Cookeville Regional Medical Center Cookeville , TN Full Time
• Days Req # 7788 The Certified Surgical Technician is responsible for maintaining stock and ordering necessary supplies, decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies, instruments and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control practices. Has completed all necessary educational and testing requirements for national certification. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and all duties relative to the department.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED Required Certification Details Surgical Scrub Technician Certification preferred. If hired January 1, 2017 or later certification as Central Supply Technician required within 2 years of being hired or a graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology. Experience Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology and medical equipment and supplies. Minimum of 1-year previous experience as Sterile Processing/Surgical Scrub Technician preferred.
