As a Central Sterile Technician , you'll play a vital role in supporting our surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and ready when needed. How you'll contribute A Central Sterile Technician who excels in this role: Decontaminates, cleans, inspects, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes surgical instruments and medical equipment. Operates sterilization equipment and monitors sterilization processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Maintains accurate sterilization and inventory records. Inspects instruments for functionality and identifies items requiring repair or replacement. Organizes and prepares instrument trays according to department standards. Maintains adequate inventory levels of sterile supplies and surgical instruments. Assists surgical services staff by ensuring instruments and equipment are available when needed. Always follows infection prevention guidelines and safety standards. Participates in department education, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives. Previous Central Sterile Processing or Surgical Services experience preferred. Knowledge of sterilization standards, infection prevention practices, and surgical instrumentation preferred.
