Job Description

Job Purpose :
We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Tech to join our team at USMD Arlington. As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use. Your attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols will be critical in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for our patients and staff. You will work full-time from 12:00pm to 8:30pm, providing essential support to our medical team.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma/GED equivalent. Completion of a sterile processing program or equivalent experience Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment Ability to follow strict protocols and maintain accurate records Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Tech or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire BLS certification preferred Experience working in a hospital or medical facility Endoscope reprocessing experience preferred Robotic instrument reprocessing experience preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Sterilize and disinfect medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols Inspect and test equipment for proper functioning Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance Collaborate with medical staff to ensure that all instruments are available and ready for use Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures
