  • 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm with rotating call requirements during the week, on weekends, and holidays.
Training:
Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire Surgery
  • Sterile Department:
    State-of-the-art sterilization equipment and technology A collaborative environment that values precision and efficiency Flexible scheduling with variable shifts Here's What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent required 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred CSPDT
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required upon hire or CBSPD
  • Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution required upon hire or CRCST
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician required upon hire HSPA
  • Healthcare Sterile Processing Association preferred Detail oriented and strong understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols What You Will Do Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays. Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray. Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the Cenistrac system. Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure. Cleaning of instruments manually and using automated cleaners. Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers. Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method. Effectively utilizes infection control concepts. Effectively handles all chemical and cleaning agents used for cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment. Demonstrates processing and distribution of special medical emergency carts, and Urology carts. Monitors supplies as necessary.
