Job Description

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is hiring a Sterile Processing Tech Welcome to Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. Sterile Processing Tech at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Computer skills, required. CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred. Six months of experience, preferred. 1-2 years experience as Instrument Room Technician preferred. Experience with all types of sterilizers. Knows operating room instrumentation. Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray. Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer. Understands Sterrad sterilizers. Ability to prepare reports and keep records. Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required. Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed. Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians. Who We Are At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
