Precision Oral Surgery & Implant Center Schedule:
Monday- Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-12pm (Two Fridays a month) What You'll Do The Sterilization Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment within the dental office. This position involves cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and office protocols. The Sterilization Technician ensures that all tools and equipment are prepared and available for use by the clinical team while maintaining a clean and organized sterilization area.Your responsibilities will include:
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all dental instruments, equipment, and tools in accordance with infection control procedures and regulatory standards. Operate sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other tools used for sterilization. Ensure sterilization processes are completed efficiently and thoroughly, maintaining accurate records of sterilization cycles and documentation. Regularly inspect sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and promptly report any issues for maintenance or repair. Follow proper protocols for handling and disposal of contaminated materials, including gloves, gauze, and other medical waste. Maintain an organized sterilization area and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked, including disinfectants, sterilizing agents, and packaging materials. Monitor inventory levels of sterilization-related supplies and notify the office manager when additional supplies are needed.Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures in a clinical environment is a plus. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures precisely. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with sterilization equipment and procedures. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
