& Maternity Primary Stroke Center 167-bed hospital Work location includes Main and East Sterile Processing sites (same building) Experience Requirements Minimum 1.5 years SPD experience (more preferred) First-time travelers not accepted unless significant SPD experience (manager approval required) Required Certifications CRCST or CBSPD Required Skills & Competencies Independent use of steam sterilizers, V-PRO units, and Medivators Steris SPM instrument tracking software (REQUIRED - no exceptions) Decontamination, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and instrument inspection High-level disinfection Quality control and sterilization documentation Distribution of sterile supplies throughout the medical center Service Lines Supported (REQUIRED) Orthopedics, ophthalmology, neuro, plastics, ENT, urology Cardiothoracic, vascular, GYN, robotics, and general surgery

No GI scope reprocessing at this facility Floating Routinely rotate between decontamination, assembly, and sterilization Float between two SPD departments within the same building Support & Work Environment Highly independent role SPD resource tech available on shift May be the only tech in a functional area at times Technology & Equipment Sterilization tracking system: SPM Tracking (mandatory) Orientation No hospital-wide orientation 4 total shifts (2 shifts in each SPD department)
