We are a full-service dermatology practice specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. With two fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons on staff, we offer on-site diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers at our Skin Cancer Surgery Center. The ideal Surgical Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multitask. The MA is responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultative and surgical procedures.
Medical Assistant Primary Duties:
Assisting providers in providing quality care to patients. Greeting and preparing patients for examinations and treatments. Providing side-by-side assistance with surgical procedures. Assist with instrument sterilization and ensure exam rooms are clean and organized. Reviewing medical history, accurately and confidentially maintaining patient records and documentation, and maintaining notes in the EMR system. Obtaining appropriate consents when necessary. Calling in prescriptions, performing patient callbacks, and handling administrative duties as needed.

Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice Proficient communication skills (written and verbal) Able to travel between locations

Experience and Education:
Preferred Medical Assistant (MA) Certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) License, or LPN Hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
