Category Nursing - RN First Assist Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - First Assist to support surgical teams for a 13-week engagement. This role is ideal for a skilled RN First Assist committed to optimal patient outcomes and effective collaboration in the operating room.

Schedule/Hours:

4x10 hour shifts, Days 6:45am - 5:15pm No call required

Qualifications:

Valid and unrestricted CA RN license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum of 3 years' direct experience as a RN First Assist Proven proficiency supporting surgeons with both open and minimally invasive procedures Strong communication skills and capacity to thrive under pressure

Responsibilities:

Provide direct assistance to surgeons during operative procedures, including tissue handling, wound exposure, suturing, and hemostasis Oversee patient safety throughout the perioperative process Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless surgical workflows Participate in preoperative planning and post-surgical debriefings Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols and documentation requirements
