Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Oral Surgery Assistant, where your expertise will directly support complex surgical procedures and enhance patient care. In this vital role, you will assist the oral surgeon during surgeries involving wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, and other advanced procedures. Your energetic and detail-oriented approach will ensure a smooth, efficient workflow while maintaining the highest standards of safety and infection control. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment dedicated to excellence in oral health. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique is maintained throughout all procedures Assist the oral surgeon during surgeries by handing instruments, managing suction, and monitoring patient comfort and vital signs Operate dental imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images for surgical planning Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions, emphasizing infection control and proper healing techniques Qualifications Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques is a plus. Willing to train medical assistants.
