This energetic position involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with surgical procedures, and ensuring smooth clinical operations while traveling between clinics. You will be an essential part of delivering high-quality dental and oral surgery services, maintaining clinical excellence, and upholding infection control standards. Responsibilities Assist oral surgeons during complex surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and other oral surgeries, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection prevention protocols. Manage patient care by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding. Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, including medical records, dental charts, and procedural notes. Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following strict infection control guidelines to ensure clinical safety. Support front desk duties as needed by coordinating patient management software and assisting with appointment scheduling and patient communication. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while providing compassionate patient care in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery settings across various locations. Qualifications Proven experience as a dental assistant or in a similar dental clinic role with knowledge of dental terminology and equipment. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical coding is a plus. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety protocols for patients and staff. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and pediatric dentistry is preferred. Excellent communication skills for patient management and collaboration with dental teams across multiple locations. Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in medical documentation or radiography are advantageous.
