Periodontics & Implants Job Summary:
We are seeking a surgical assistant to join our team at Dr. Marc Alfant's practice focused on Periodontics & Implants. The ideal candidate will provide crucial support during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and assistance to the surgical team.
Duties:
  • Assist the doctor in various procedures related to periodontics and implants.
  • Provide excellent patient care and support throughout their surgical experience.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed dental records, including patient information and procedure documentation.
  • Utilize dental knowledge to assist in surgical procedures effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix software for efficient medical record management.
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Assist in consultations, suture removals, post-op evaluations.
Requirements:
  • Certificate in Dental Assisting with Expanded Functions
  • Prior experience in dental surgery preferred.
  • Knowledge of periodontics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile environments.
  • Knowledge of infection control measures and best practices.
