Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Surgical Assistant to support a cosmetic surgeon in a professional medical office and surgical setting in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate is comfortable working closely with a surgeon and medical team and understands the importance of patient safety, professionalism, attention to detail, and maintaining a sterile surgical environment. Responsibilities Assist the cosmetic surgeon during surgical and clinical procedures. Prepare the operating/procedure room and ensure necessary instruments and supplies are available. Assist with patient preparation before procedures and provide appropriate support during and after procedures. Maintain a sterile field and follow infection-control and safety protocols. Handle and prepare surgical instruments and equipment as directed. Assist with positioning, draping, and other surgical-support tasks within the scope of training and qualifications. Monitor and communicate patient needs and concerns to the surgical team. Assist with post-operative care and provide support with patient discharge instructions as directed. Ensure surgical rooms and equipment are properly cleaned, organized, and prepared for the next procedure. Work collaboratively with the surgeon and office staff to maintain an efficient workflow. Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant , preferably in cosmetic, plastic, or aesthetic surgery. Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, sterile technique, and infection control. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Professional and compassionate communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling. Current certifications/licenses required for the position, as applicable. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Schedule This is a part-time position . Workdays and hours will vary depending on the surgeon's surgical schedule and patient appointments. Compensation Compensation is based on a fee schedule. Details regarding the applicable fee schedule will be discussed during the interview.
