Duties Assist surgeons during aesthetic surgical procedures, including open techniques and robotic-assisted surgeries, ensuring precision and safety. Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, sterile supplies, and equipment according to procedural requirements. Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout all procedures to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Monitor vital signs and patient status before, during, and after surgeries, providing critical support for patient stability. Support discharge planning by coordinating post-operative care instructions and ensuring comprehensive documentation in medical records. Manage medical records and documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with preoperative assessments, including physiology evaluation and patient history review, to optimize surgical outcomes. Requirements Proven experience as a surgical first assistant or in a similar perioperative care role within an aesthetic or hospital setting. Strong knowledge of surgical techniques, anatomy, physiology, and infection control protocols. Hands-on experience assisting with open surgical procedures, robotic surgical techniques, and suturing skills. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) documentation standards. Critical care experience such as ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Excellent analysis skills for assessing patient vitals and responding swiftly to emergent situations. Knowledge of hospital medicine practices including discharge planning, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to surgery assistance and patient care in pediatrics when applicable.
