Other duties may include:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and support in a cosmetic medical setting
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations of the practice
- inventory supply rooms
- Prepare patients for consults and procedures
- Take and record patients weight and garment measurements
- Assist in collecting, preparing and sending laboratory specimens for testing
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care including suture and drain removal as needed
- Provide patient education on medications, surgeries, procedures, and general health information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- obtain pre and post procedure photos
- assist in pre and post operative documentation ```Qualifications```
- Proficient in verbal and written English and Spanish
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred, additional Certified Surgical Tech (CST) a plus.
- Previous experience working in a plastic surgery setting is highly desirable but not required. Surgical experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is required
- Proficiency in performing basic clinical procedures
- Familiarity with medical administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
