HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your Role:
Dedicated to CT Surgery, in collaboration with the surgical team (and others), participates in surgical patients' perioperative assessments. Assists surgeons (under direction/supervision of the same) during surgical or invasive operative procedures. Participates in postoperative rounds and treatments; evaluates patients' progress toward obtaining desired outcomes. Assess patients' and/or family members' knowledge level; provides appropriate education to same. Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
Associate degree in nursing. Successful completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program accredited by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Required Experience:
Two (2) years of perioperative registered nursing experience.
Preferred Experience:
Two (2) years of perioperative first assistance experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure]. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certified instructor.
Preferred Certification/License/Registry:
One or more of the following: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential from AORN. Registered Nurse Assistant at Surgery (RNAS-C) credential from the National Assistant at Surgery Certification (NASC).
