Job Description

The Swan Center for Plastic Surgery has been helping Atlanta cosmetic surgery patients look beautiful and feel amazing since 1993. The board-certified plastic surgeons and staff at The Swan Center are committed to helping patients and strive to provide a positive patient experience, from the initial consultation through to the final follow-up. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified First Assistant on a full-time basis. The Certified First Assistant will work alongside our surgeons and must have solid suturing skills. Position Responsibilities:
Maintain sterile field while following proper aseptic technique Placing equipment and supplies in operating room and arranging instruments according to instructions Assisting team members to place and position patient on table Scrubbing hands and donning gown and gloves Aiding team to don gowns and gloves Maintaining supply of fluids for use during operation Anticipating surgeon's needs, handing instruments and supplies to surgeon, holding retractors, suturing, cutting sutures, and performing other tasks as directed by the surgeon during operation Putting dressings on patient following surgery Counting sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation Washing and sterilizing equipment, using germicides and sterilizers Cleaning operating room Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
At least one year of plastic surgery experience Must have strong suturing skills Must have a positive and outgoing attitude Must be able to multitask Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
