We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Dermatological Surgical Assistant to join our team. Job Description:
As a Dermatological Surgical Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our surgeons and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. You will work directly with patients to prepare them for in-office procedures and surgeries, assist in surgeries, and provide essential aftercare instructions. You will also contribute to the clinical dermatology setting by assisting with patient charting and ensuring that our daily operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for dermatological procedures and surgeries, ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Assist in dermatologic surgical procedures, including assisting the surgeon. Provide patients with post-operative instructions and ensure they understand the next steps for recovery. Clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment before and after procedures. Apply bandages, dressings, and other post-surgery care. Assist in clinical dermatology settings by preparing and assisting with patient exams. Support providers by charting and updating patient records during and after procedures. Travel weekly to all locations where surgery is performed (Watkinsville, Gainesville, and Greensboro).
