Horizon OMS is a brand-new Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice opening in Lombard, Illinois. We're looking for a motivated, professional Surgical Dental Assistant to become one of the founding members of our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced assistant—or someone eager to grow into the specialty—to help build a practice focused on exceptional patient care, teamwork, and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Chairside assisting during oral surgery procedures Assisting with IV sedation and general anesthesia cases Preparing and maintaining sterile surgical fields Preparing treatment rooms and surgical instruments Monitoring and supporting patients before, during, and after procedures Taking radiographs and assisting with patient records Preparing surgical materials and equipment Providing post-operative instructions and patient education Maintaining OSHA, infection control, and sterilization standards Assisting with inventory management and daily clinical operations Supporting same-day emergency patients and schedule adjustments while maintaining a calm, patient-focused approach What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is: Professional and compassionate Punctual, reliable, and dependable Organized and detail-oriented Able to remain calm and efficient in a busy surgical environment Comfortable adapting to same-day procedures and fluctuating schedules A strong team player with excellent communication skills Patient-focused with a positive attitude Eager to learn and continually improve Required Qualifications Current Illinois Dental Assistant credentials (as applicable) Previous chairside dental assisting experience Excellent communication and patient care skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Candidates with the following experience will receive the highest consideration: Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery assisting experience Experience assisting with IV deep sedation and/or general anesthesia DAANCE Certification Venipuncture (blood draw/IV start) experience BLS certification Experience with CBCT and digital imaging Bilingual (English/Spanish) We Invest in Our Team We understand that not every outstanding assistant begins their career in oral surgery. Compensation & Benefits Pay:

$22.00-$30.00 per hour , based on experience.
