Job Description

Surgical Clinical Assistant (CMA, CST, LPN, or RN) Lynch Surgical Group is seeking a full-time clinical team member to join our busy general surgery practice. We are looking for an individual who enjoys direct patient care, assisting with office procedures, wound care, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a surgical practice. This position is primarily clinical but may include administrative duties during periods of lower patient volume. Position Summary The Surgical Clinical Assistant works closely with our surgeons and nurse practitioners to provide efficient, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Clinical Duties Room patients and obtain vital signs Obtain and document patient histories Prepare examination and procedure rooms Assist surgeons and advanced practice providers during office procedures Set up sterile procedure trays and instruments Perform wound care and dressing changes Remove sutures and staples Provide postoperative instructions and patient education Process, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments Maintain procedure rooms and clinical supplies Assist with clinical documentation within the electronic medical record Administrative Duties Assist with insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications Assist with medical records, forms, and patient communications Support clinic workflow and other office responsibilities as needed Qualifications Required CMA Certification, CST Certification, Indiana LPN License, or Indiana RN License Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Preferred Experience in a surgical practice, outpatient clinic, hospital, emergency department, or procedural setting Experience with wound care and postoperative patient management Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM No nights, weekends, or call Work may be performed at our Terre Haute office and occasionally at a satellite clinic location. Compensation & Benefits $15.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on credentials and experience Corporation pays 65% of health insurance premium for eligible employees 2 weeks paid time off beginning in the second year Paid holidays 401k Retirement plan available after first year About Lynch Surgical Group Lynch Surgical Group is a physician-owned general surgery practice serving the Wabash Valley. $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
