Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary:

The Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA), or the Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) assists the surgeon in exposure, hemostasis, and many other technical functions during the surgical procedure. He or she initiates appropriate intra- operative behaviors unique to first assisting. He or she applies knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative techniques relative to operative procedures. Maintains a sterile field.

Position Qualifications :

High School Diploma/GED Current BLS Cer t ification , (or within 30 days of hiring)

Licensure/Certification:
