Job Description
Job Summary:

- (Bilingual-English/Spanish preferred) We want a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at West Essex Oral Surgery. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for dental work and ensure their comfort
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays (including 3D scans)
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical documentation using [DSN] software
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Perform office tasks as needed to maintain an efficient workflow
Requirements:
- Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program
- Proficiency in using a 3D scanner for dental imaging
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy
- Experience in assisting with oral surgery procedures is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical imaging techniques
