Job Requirements
JOB SUMMARY
Performs housekeeping duties as designated to ensure a safe environment by AORN Standards. Works with surgical team to move large equipment and supplies into the OR to assist in set up. Assists with opening sterile supplies under the direction of the surgical team. Assists in instrument cleaning and sterilization under the direction of the surgical team. Works with the surgical team to remove dirty instruments, suction canisters, and other items as required. Assists the patient care team to ensure smooth operations and focus on customer service. Additionally responsible for vendor management and specialized purchasing orders. Work Experience
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education & Training:
High School diploma or equivalent. Some College coursework in business or related field is preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience:
Basic computer experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to: a) Read, write and comprehend medical terminology; b) Effectively convey verbal and written information; c) follow directions; d) perform simple mathematical calculations correctly; e) respond to emergency situations appropriately, f) adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the hospital, including all shifts; g) effectively function as a member of a collaborative team. h) organize and manage time effectively, setting appropriate priorities; i) comply with TJC and OSHA standards; and j) maintain confidentiality. Benefits Full-Time Days (7am-7:30pm)
Pay Range:
$17.68 - $24.76/hr.
