Job Description The Preference Card Coordinator - Surgical Services performs the duties of a Surgical Technologist, as well as being responsible for the development and maintenance of the computer-based Surgical Services preference card system. This position works closely with local nursing and surgical teams and is responsible for the maintenance of the preference cards to address surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during complex surgical procedures. The Preference Card Coordinator - Surgical Services also works closely with inventory personnel and financing to accurately maintain inventory and equipment lists for surgical procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Associates Degree preferred. Graduate of CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education programs) accredited Surgical Technology program. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist and/or Supply Chain Management, including at least one (1) year of experience as a Surgical Technologist with extremely complicated/complex case experience required. Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Current BLS certification.
