Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for a 13-week Operating Room assignment. The ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running, work independently, and provide strong perioperative support to the surgical team.

Not accepted within 50 miles of the facility Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of current CSFA experience NBSTSA certification required Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required Current CSFA skills checklist, completed within the past year At least 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment Previous travel experience preferred Strong independent OR experience Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment Key ResponsibilitiesPerioperative Care Provide perioperative care to surgical patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Assist with developing and implementing the patient's plan of care. Ensure the physical environment is properly prepared before patient arrival. Follow established procedures and safety standards to protect patients and staff. Surgical First Assistant Duties Assist the surgical team throughout operative procedures. Handle and utilize surgical instruments and medical devices appropriately. Provide surgical exposure as required. Handle and/or cut tissue according to scope of practice. Assist with hemostasis and suturing. Arrange and inventory sterile setups. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and supplies efficiently. Patient & Operating Room Support Assist with preparing and transporting patients. Help maintain a safe and organized operating room. Clean and prepare the OR between procedures. Follow infection prevention standards and established safety protocols. Use surgical technology and equipment appropriately.

Pay:

$1,900.00 - $2,300.00 per week
