Operating Room Aide - 1.0 FTE Are you a dependable, team-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We are seeking an Operating Room Aide to join our surgical services team! The OR Aide plays an important role in supporting our clinical teams and helping maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient environment for our patients and staff. This position works collaboratively with the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of daily operations. What You'll Do As an OR Aide, you will: Assist the RN with the safe transfer of patients. Help prepare and maintain the surgical environment. Assist with cleaning and turnover of Operating Room suites. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning responsibilities. Clean and maintain supplies and equipment, following appropriate germicidal solution contact times. Maintain clean and organized supply areas. Restock supplies and distribute supplies and laundry as directed. Monitor and assist with monthly outdate checks. Pick supplies and stage case carts for surgical procedures. Assist with moving, storing, and organizing OR equipment. Answer phones and assist with errands and departmental needs. Welcome and direct patients, families, and visitors as appropriate. Assist during emergencies, codes, and other urgent situations. Float between departments and areas to provide assistance where needed. Support Sterile Processing with instrument processing and endoscope cleaning. Assist with monthly quality audits. Perform other duties as assigned.
