About SLUCare Physician Group and SSM Health:
SSM Health-SLUCare is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing service line. SLUCare represents the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University, known for leading-edge care and groundbreaking research. This position will involve first assisting in the O.R., including endoscopic vein harvesting, as well as clinic rotation.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will have experience as an O.R. First Assist, EVH, ECMO cannulation, patient assessment and management skills, invasive procedural skills, and knowledge/expertise in cardiac devices Will have experience in surgical procedures, suturing/wound care, and emergency management of cardiac surgical events Seeking effective communication, leadership and adaptability, attention to detail, time management, and a continuous learner Anticipated schedule of 3x12's per week once fully onboarded; will be 5x8's during onboarding Anticipated call of 1:5 which is typically one shift per week and every fifth weekend At home call but expected to arrive at the hospital within 35 minutes
Qualifications:
Cardiothoracic Surgery experience Surgical First Assist experience Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification (or ability to obtain RNFA within six months of hire), or PA-C Ability to obtain licensure in state of Missouri SLUCare Physician Group and SSM Health have partnered for decades to provide exceptional medical services to patients at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and most recently Saint Louis University Hospital.
