Surgical Assistant

Looking for a very detail oriented, positive and outgoing clinical member, to join our fast pace surgical team! General Description Perform a variety of specialized skills.

Job Duties:

Prepare and set up medical supplies and equipment for procedures. Preform patient intake, prep patient for surgery and assist the MD in all surgeries. You will be responsible for your patient from start to finish. Instrument processing- washing, packaging and sterilizing. EMR entry, lab requisitions, charting accuracy. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge any surgical procedures and clinical flow, is a plus! Medical office setting. Patient care experience. Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Able to perform medical equipment clean up and preparation to expedite clinic flow. Education Requirements/Preferences RN, LPN, RMA, CMA, Surgical Tech- Requires completion of a technical school program. Experience Requirements/Preferences Generally, requires two years of experience in health care specialties related to the specific position; two years related experience may be substituted for the technical school, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience -Four 10hr shifts with one rotating day off each week or Three 12hr shifts! Options for overtime and also more time off.
