Ophthalmic Surgical Counselor @ Fichte, Endl & Elmer EyeCare Are you an experienced ophthalmic professional who enjoys helping patients feel confident and prepared for surgery? Join our team at Fichte, Endl & Elmer EyeCare as a Surgical Counselor! This is an exciting opportunity to guide patients through an important, and often life-changing, part of their eye-care journey. Our Surgical Counselors help patients understand what to expect, coordinate the steps leading up to surgery, and provide reassurance and support throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

Educate and prepare patients for their upcoming procedures Explain surgical instructions, scheduling details, and financial responsibilities Coordinate with physicians, clinical staff, and surgical facilities Answer patient questions with patience, accuracy, and compassion Ensure all required paperwork and preoperative steps are completed Create a positive and organized experience from consultation through surgery

What We're Looking For:

Previous ophthalmology, surgical counseling, or related healthcare experience is required Excellent communication and organizational skills A warm, upbeat personality and a passion for helping patients Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities A dependable team player who thrives in a busy medical practice

Compensation:

Starting at $21 per hour , with higher compensation available based on experience.
