Surgical Dental Assistant Join a team that is redefining mobile oral surgery. Bartlett Dental Surgery is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Surgical Dental Assistant to join our traveling oral surgery team. We partner with general dental offices throughout Ohio to provide exceptional surgical care while delivering an outstanding patient experience. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment, enjoys taking ownership, and leads by example. This individual will play a key role in supporting our doctor, working closely with team members, maintaining clinical excellence, and ensuring every surgery day runs smoothly. Responsibilities Prepare operatories and surgical equipment before each surgical day Assist the doctor during oral surgery procedures, including third molar extractions, implant placement, bone grafting, biopsies, and other surgical procedures Confidently perform IV starts and assist with IV sedation cases Monitor patient safety throughout procedures Maintain sterile technique and OSHA compliance Manage instrument setup and organization Anticipate the doctor's needs during procedures Help maintain inventory and communicate supply needs Assist with training and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture centered around exceptional patient care Qualifications Minimum 3 years of oral surgery or surgical dental assisting experience preferred Strong IV placement/phlebotomy skills required Experience assisting with IV sedation Current CPR/BLS certification Ohio Dental Radiographer Certificate Excellent communication and organizational skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Ohio Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Calm under pressure Dependable and punctual Detail-oriented Compassionate with patients A problem solver Self-motivated Coachable and eager to grow Passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience Why Join Bartlett Dental Surgery? 4 day per week schedule No evenings or weekends (2027) Travel with an experienced doctor (travel compensation provided) Opportunities for leadership and professional growth Positive, supportive team culture Competitive, pay based on experience 401(k) with match (after 1 year) Continuing education opportunities Paid holidays and
