This position will also provide clerical support to faculty members and the program director. Must demonstrate a commitment to providing a quality education to students in an ethical, fair, and honest manner, upholding all school policies, accrediting standards and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Essential Functions Provide clinical support for instructors in laboratory and clinical courses. Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students. Modify, where appropriate and with the instructor's approval, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students' needs. During labs, evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return student work promptly to promote learning. Working with the instructor, maintain accurate records of student progress including entering all grades on a weekly basis according to established guidelines. Assist with entering student attendance daily (on-line classes must enter attendance 2x per week). Track and manage classroom behavior regarding absenteeism, tardiness, and discipline and provide an update to the instructor. Maintain confidentiality of student information. Always communicate student issues/concerns to the Program Director and/or Director of Education to ensure the successful operation of the educational program. Provide clerical support for instructors, as requested Attend faculty in-services and department meetings Complete miscellaneous tasks as requested Minimum Requirements Certified Surgical Tech (CST), or a graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technologist program, or otherwise eligible to sit for the CST exam Minimum of 2 years of recent work experience in the scrub role.
