$44,000.00 per year Job description: The Joint and Vascular Institute is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting with both administrative and clinical tasks, rooming patients, and assisting with procedures. We are looking for a self starter that is interested in being part of a dynamic, start-up practice. Willing to learn, pitch in, and grow with us!

Key Qualities:

Organized, personable, FLEXIBLE and has a "can do" attitude Responsibilities On-site procedure first assist . Provide medical administrative support Help with clinic phone lines and emails/texts during weekdays (9 am to 5 pm) -some days remote On-site clinic assistance (approx 2-3 days a week with an occasional Saturday) Assist with patient care, including taking vital signs and ensuring patient comfort during visits/procedures. Would work in person at least 2 days per week in Rockford, with the occasional day(s) at at remote sites including Libertyville IL, and Munster, IN. And one Saturday a month. Reimbursed for travel outside of the Rockford location and a bonus for Saturdays. Other days would be working remotely from your home. Managing inventory Opportunity to assist physicans at remote sites at a bonus Qualifications Medical administrative support experience preferred Proficiency in EHR systems and medical terminology Strong patient service and communication skills Driven, self-sufficient, proactive self-starter Experience as a first assist preferred
