Job Description:
Horry Georgetown Technical College is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Surgical technologist to join its faculty. If you possess a desire to help others succeed, this is an opportunity for you to positively impact the lives and careers of our students and graduates. HGTC provides educational programs that deliver real-life career skills in high-demand occupations that lead to employment upon graduation and a lifetime of professional growth. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach help instruct Surgical Technology students. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Surgical Technology skills in the lab setting and monitor and supervise surgical technology students in the clinical setting. Applicants will be expected to participate in department training, meetings, recruitment events and continuing education events. Requirements Completion of an NBSTSA approved Surgical Technology program resulting in an Certificate; Associate Degree preferred NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist At least three years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven Prior postsecondary/higher education teaching experience preferred but not required
Advertised Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a degree/credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Have a minimum total of 3 (three) years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past 5 (five) years.
Preferred Qualifications:
