This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, assisting surgeons during operative procedures and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Dr. Cooper is looking for a new member of his care team, to work closely hand in hand with his PA and clinic team at Top of Texas Orthopedics. Responsibilities Assist surgeons during open surgical techniques, robotic surgeries, and other minimally invasive procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and sterile field protocols. Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment in accordance with procedural requirements. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout surgery, providing critical support to maintain patient stability. Support preoperative and postoperative patient care, including discharge planning and recovery monitoring. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure hospital patient safety and infection prevention measures are upheld at all times. Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and surgical techniques to support complex procedures across various specialties such as trauma, pediatrics, ICU, and hospital medicine. Qualifications Certified Surgical Tech (CST) required. Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) preferred. No experience requirements. We are looking for a team player that will help us in the OR, clinic, and patient care beyond these locations if necessary. Will need to be comfortable with helping in clinic situation as well as the OR. Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and supporting discharge planning processes.
