Job description Eastside Periodontics is a well-established private periodontal and implant practice in Bellevue seeking an exceptional surgical dental assistant to join our friendly, patient-focused team.

We welcome either:

An experienced periodontal, implant, or oral-surgery assistant who can contribute immediately; or An exceptionally bright, energetic, and dependable dental assistant with excellent potential whom we can train in periodontal and implant surgery. For a less-experienced candidate, attitude and aptitude are more important than years of specialty experience. We are looking for someone who learns quickly, notices details, takes initiative, and genuinely wants to become an outstanding surgical assistant. Responsibilities Assist with periodontal, implant, and related surgical procedures Prepare surgical operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures Anticipate the doctor's needs and provide efficient chairside assistance Sterilize, organize, and maintain surgical instruments Take dental radiographs and clinical photographs Review preoperative and postoperative instructions with patients Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for Maintain surgical supplies and inventory Complete accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix Support other members of the clinical team as needed Our ideal candidate is: Exceptionally reliable and punctual Intelligent, observant, and quick to learn Energetic, motivated, and willing to take initiative Calm and focused during surgical procedures Organized and attentive to small details Compassionate and confident with patients Comfortable receiving feedback and learning new techniques Able to anticipate what is needed rather than waiting to be directed Interested in developing a long-term career in surgical dentistry A positive team member who takes pride in excellent work Qualifications Dental-assisting experience preferred Periodontal, implant, oral-surgery, or sterile-procedure experience highly desirable Active Washington State dental-assistant registration, or ability to obtain it before beginning clinical duties Current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain it Dental-radiography experience preferred Dentrix experience is helpful but can be taught Compensation Compensation ranges from $30-$42 per hour and will be based on experience, surgical proficiency, clinical judgment, and overall qualifications. The upper end of the range is reserved for candidates with substantial periodontal, implant, or oral-surgery experience who can demonstrate advanced surgical-assisting skills and work with a high degree of independence. Opportunities for compensation increases will be available as defined clinical and surgical competencies are achieved.
