Job Description

Join Our Team! We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Surgical Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting with surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assist the doctor during surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgery treatments Assist with procedures involving IV and oral sedation , including patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery under the direction of the doctor and in accordance with state regulations Monitor and document patient vital signs before, during, and after sedation procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical materials Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed Take and process dental radiographs Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative instructions Monitor patient comfort and help create a positive experience Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Support team members and contribute to an efficient workflow
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant certification/license as required by state regulations Surgical assisting experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Knowledge of dental terminology, sterilization procedures, and radiography Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a surgical setting Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Proficiency with dental software (such as Eaglesoft) is a plus!
