JOB SUMMARY

The O.R. Aide assists in the surgical services area with cleaning, stocking, evaluating the number of supplies in stock and monitoring availability of those supplies. Prepares operating room equipment and supplies and anesthesia supplies necessary for procedures. Maintains inventory levels of operating rooms and anesthesia equipment and supplies. Participates in room turnover and preparation. Assists as needed, in all areas of the Surgical Services Department. This position functions under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Certifications/Licenses:

Certified Nursing Assistant. Basic Life Support within 6 months.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

Must be detail oriented and familiar with computer skills. Must be able to work under pressure. Customer oriented.
