Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Skilled surgical professionals are invited to contribute their expertise within a dynamic perioperative environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for individuals ready to support a collaborative healthcare team working to provide exceptional patient care during surgical procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a Nursing - ORT, Surgical Technologist (Certified or Non-certified) Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and aseptic practice Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and maintain efficiency in the operating room Strong communication skills to work effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety protocols Current certification (if applicable) as a Surgical Technologist preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment Assist surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments and supplies Maintain a sterile field throughout the operation and enforce infection control protocols Count supplies, instruments, and sponges before and after procedures to ensure accuracy Support preoperative and postoperative room turnover, restocking, and equipment sterilization Collaborate closely with the operating room team for optimal patient outcomes This contract position offers the chance to work in a supportive clinical setting with a focus on teamwork and quality care.
