As a traveling surgical tech in this facility, you'll build your resume by engaging with leading-edge practices, expanding your knowledge of ortho, vascular, and general surgery, and collaborating with both specialty leads and charge nurses.
Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment Call required
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
At least one year of full-time experience in an operating room setting Proficient with ortho, vascular, and general surgery cases Current BLS certification (required for techs) ACLS certification (required for RNs) Experience scrubbing required Familiarity with Cerner EMR a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment handling 20-30 surgical cases per day
Key Responsibilities:
Assist surgical teams in the setup and execution of procedures, with emphasis on ortho, vascular, and general surgery Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures Collaborate with nurses, specialty leads, and other clinicians for patient safety and optimal outcomes Participate in taking call assignments as required Document all procedures and patient information accurately within the Cerner EMR system
