Job Description

Overview This position is responsible for assisting in nursing care and preparation of the obstetrical patient through performance of routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital and Perinatal Services Department. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Provides non-clinical support through management of supply and equipment maintenance. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Healthcare Inc. The employee shall support AHMC-Anaheim Regional Medical Center's strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient's Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and other initiatives. Qualifications Education/Training/Experience Currently licensed to practice vocational nursing in California, or has successfully completed Operating Room Technician Program, or is a Nursing Assistant with surgical instrumentation experience. Previous operating room experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in scrubbing and surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and standard precautions. Previous direct patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Licenses/Certifications Current BLS-HCP Current NRP preferred
