A travel nursing opportunity specializing in ORT (Operating Room Technician/Scrub Tech) provides exposure to a dynamic, high-acuity surgical environment. You'll collaborate with experienced surgical teams, enhancing your clinical skills while learning diverse workplace practices and observing a range of leadership approaches. Every shift brings unique challenges and learning opportunities that will broaden your expertise and bolster your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
8-hour variable shifts Flexibility to work both days and nights required
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Certified or licensed as an ORT/Scrub Tech Previous experience in an acute care surgical setting Proficiency in prepping OR suites, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting with surgical procedures Ability to deliver timely, efficient support while adapting to changing case types and priorities Strong communication and collaboration skills Current BLS certification preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and supplies Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile technique standards Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during procedures Accurately anticipate surgical team needs, ensuring seamless case flow Ensure all instruments are accounted for before, during, and after each procedure Facilitate setup, breakdown, and turnover of operating rooms
