1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an Obstetrics Acute unit, requiring EPIC experience and CST certification. Details Obstetrics Acute unit within a community and regional teaching hospital Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM, 3x12 hour shifts

experience required Floating to Bakersfield required as needed Requirements Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology required Certified Surgery Technician (CST) or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification required Certification through NBSTSA or AST required BLS certification preferred Relevant acute care experience preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty, or 3 years for OR positions Recent experience in the specialty within the last 3 months required License required if applicable Additional Information Facilitate physician performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures Verify surgery with consent forms and prepare patient for the operating room Pass instruments and anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures Perform sponge and instrument counts with the circulator before and after procedures Prepare sterile dressings and secure them after incision closure Set up sterile tables and assist with draping the sterile field Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization and assist with room turnover Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined Accepts local candidates with no radius rule; local rates are the same as travel rates
